What did I used to dream about, that now I can do?

What did I used to dream about, that now I can do?

I was learning today from Simon Sinek. One of the things he talks about is how we, in our ongoing quest to improve ourselves, fail to celebrate our successes. I’m very bad at this. I rarely look at what I’ve achieved. Instead I’m always looking at my to-do list. The one thing I find does help me is if I stop and look back through my old sketchbooks for drawings. When I look at the zillions of drawings and paintings I’ve done it’s so useful because I see how much I have accomplished but also how much I have improved. More interesting than that is seeing thought process and how that has evolved. The visual portfolio works for me. But naturally the first thing that came to mind when I asked myself, “what did I used to dream abut that now I can do?”, the answer is have my horse. She’s the biggest dream come true.

This is a real product! Can you believe it. Only in the UK or so I understand.
Thanks to my friend Taylor who never fails to find me some treasures like this pic he snapped in Boots. I don’t normally include photos in my illustrations but in this case seeing is believing.
One of the reasons I moved to the UK was to be inspired by the incredible talent of it’s designers and this certainly leaves nothing to be desired. I wonder if they will export to Canada?!
